THE BEAUTYITEM DETAIL EDIT / 03
Aegyo sal makeup works best when the light and shadow stay small. Start with a narrow wash of brightness beneath the lower lashes, then decide whether it needs a faint shadow below it. You can stop after the first step. A visible stripe is optional; a softer edge is the point of this edit.
This is a focused placement guide, rather than a full celebrity makeup routine. The portraits are style references. The techniques and product examples below are Beautyitem's independent choices, not a claim about what either artist wears.

Set the size before the sparkle
For this tutorial, aegyo sal makeup means using cosmetic highlight and shadow to give the under-eye area a little extra definition. Look into a mirror at a comfortable distance with your face relaxed. Choose a small area of external skin beneath the lower lashes that you want to emphasize. There is no fixed width to copy from someone else's face.
Keep your first attempt shorter than you think you need. You can extend it after checking both eyes together. Use products intended for the eye area, follow their labels, and keep this application on external skin, away from the waterline.
Pick one starting format
| Format | Try it for | First move |
| Under-eye powder palette | Adjustable matte or softly luminous definition | Pick up very little with a small applicator |
| Under-eye concealer pencil | A precise, low-shine light area | Make a short mark and blend immediately |
| Sheer contour liner | A narrow shadow beneath the light | Test the color before touching the face |
These are alternatives, not a three-product shopping list. If you already own an appropriate eye palette with a suitable light shade and a soft contour shade, begin there.
Powder: light first, shadow second
CANMAKE's Plumpuku Coordinate Eyes instructions place the chosen light powder on the under-eye area, then add the contouring shade beneath it. Its palette offers matte, pearl and glitter finishes. That makes it a useful example of how finish and placement can be selected separately.
For our understated version, choose matte or fine pearl first. Tap a small amount onto the selected area, then soften the outer edge with the clean side of the applicator. Check the result before adding contour. If you want sparkle, place a small accent over the light area rather than spreading it across the whole lower eye.
Bright white is not compulsory. Compare the powder with your skin: a softer beige, rose or warmer luminous tone may create the contrast you want with less obvious color. Choose the result in your mirror, not just the shade name.
Pencil: blend while it moves
CANMAKE's Eye-Bags Concealer directions say to draw on the area you want to emphasize and blend with a finger immediately. This product is an example of an under-eye brightening pencil; it is not a requirement for the look.
Try a short, light mark first. Use a clean fingertip to tap its edge into the surrounding base while the formula is workable. Avoid repeatedly dragging the pencil over the same spot to make it brighter. If a clear pale band remains, soften that before adding any shadow.
Choose this route when you prefer a matte-looking light area. A glitter topper can change the finish later, but first make sure the pencil alone sits the way you want.

Keep the shadow quieter
CANMAKE's 3way Slim Shade Liner is explicitly designed for under-eye contouring as well as its other uses. The brand describes sheer brown tones and advises selecting according to the surrounding eyeshadow and preferred finish. It illustrates why a shadow product can be much softer than an ordinary dark eyeliner.
Our approach is to add a short, faint shadow just below the light area, then stop and look straight ahead. Follow your chosen product's directions for blending. If it reads as a separate brown line at normal mirror distance, reduce its intensity rather than tracing over it again.
You can leave the inner and outer ends unfinished. The goal is a suggestion of contrast, with the light area still doing most of the work.
Check it with the rest of your makeup
Finish your usual upper-lash definition, then step back. A lower-eye detail can look stronger once mascara or liner is in place. Look at both eyes together rather than trying to make each tiny mark identical in a close mirror.
For daytime, stop when the detail is visible to you but does not demand attention. For evening, increase one element: a touch more shimmer or a little more contour. Adding both at once makes it harder to see which change you actually like.
Three useful answers
Do I need glitter for aegyo sal makeup?
No. Start with a matte or softly luminous light shade. Glitter changes the finish; it is not the step that determines where the light and shadow sit.
Why does the shadow look too obvious?
Try less pigment, a shorter mark or a sheerer eye-area contour product. Also check whether the light area above it is too wide. Adjust one element before adding anything else.
Can I skip the shadow entirely?
Yes. A small, blended highlight can be the complete look. Keep the step that gives you the effect you enjoy and leave out the rest.
Buy the detail, not a duplicate kit
